Annual Four Chaplains’ Prayer Breakfast

The Four Chaplains’ Prayer Breakfast started in 1993, to honor the service and sacrifice of the Four Chaplains aboard the U.S.A.T. Dorchester.

It has since become an annual event with hundreds of attendees, thousands of dollars awarded in local scholarships, and an endowment fund in cooperation
with the York County Community Foundation.

About the Breakfasts

The Four Chaplains’ Prayer Breakfast is held each year in memory of the Four Chaplains who served on the U.S.A.T. Dorchester.
We honor their selfless sacrifice by recognizing local leaders who live by their values and continue their legacy by awarding
former students from the Rabbi Alexander D. Goode Elementary School with scholarships that impact their future.

We have expanded our Prayer Breakfast program to include TWO breakfast sessions.
The first breakfast session - open to the public - will be attended by sponsors, leaders, and friends
of the Four Chaplains in our York Community.

The second breakfast will be attended strictly by York City Schools students and sponsors.
The same program of speakers and awards will be featured at both breakfast sessions.
